ProTyme Perennial Ryegrass —ProTyme is a new and improved, early maturing, moderately fine textured perennial ryegrass. ProTyme exhibits a dark blue-green color and contains >76% Neotyphodium lolii endophyte. Endophyte enhances resistance to a number of leaf and crown feeding insects and nematodes. The presence of viable endophyte also contributes to improved biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) stress tolerance, faster seedling establishment under harsher conditions, enhanced spring and fall recovery and reduced weed encroachment. Plant growth of perennial ryegrass is dominated by aggressive basal tillering in contrast to vegetative stolons (above ground) and rhizomes (below ground).
